Axel Wirth - Maschinen: UV-Oil

Oil and colour manufacturers offer special UV-oils. After application and having been exposed to UV-light, the surface of the wood is dry. Surface compared to natural oil and natural drying looks similar to lacquer.

Procedure is the same as for the application of natural oil, and is done by our roller applicator LW 100 and DWO with special oil rollers. Also the distribution procedure is the same.

Successively to our distributor conveyor, there is installed above a special UV-projector during transport. Wavelength is determined by the oil manufacturer. Wood is transported under the UV-projector for immediate hardening. Speed is according to the application speed, provided that connection has 400 Volt.

Wood can be retreated or packed immediately afterwards.

In our workshop, we also demonstrate a UV-dryer for UV-oils on floorboards and parquets.

UV-oil or lacquer is hardened immediately when passing the strong UV-lamp (1).

Two contrarotating sanding rollers (2+3) smoothen the surface. That is the intermediate sanding.

Cylindrical brush (4) with suction top cleans the sanded surface once again.

Afterwards, the next coat of lacquer can immediately be applied.
