   Oiled wood ideally demonstrates the beauty of its own structure.

Pliable roller application with infinitely variable roller pressure deepens the penetration of oil into the wood. Steady and infinitely variable dosage of high-grade oils and liquid waxes creates the most beautiful surfaces.

Since 1996, we have been using the
LW 100 and LW 120 roller applicators
with custom-designed rollers to oil and wax wood
on one or two sides.



Infinitely variable oil quantity thanks to special rollers from 6 – 23 g/m² and 15 – 70 g/m².
For smooth woods, the roller is not the same as for brushed, structured woods.

For oil application on chamfers, Axel Wirth offers a special programme.

Regular oil application on native wood surface. Avoiding speckles or even splashing such as occur during application by hand. Machines are used by craftsmen and in furniture production not just because of the wood quantity, but because of the regularly oiled wood surface.

In general, surfaces are wiped, softly brushed or polished at once or some time after application. This is called excess distributing. For floor board/parquetry production, a combination of roller applicator, with application from the top, conveyor belt and above mounted distributor heads with 400 mm width. Disk brushes and round pads for further treatment of the oiled surface.

For oil application, all sizes of the “WIRTH” Roller Applicator LW 100 and LW 120, fitted with rollers developed by Wirth, are suitable. Others are using UV-oil instead of natural oil. Then appropriate UV-lamps are installed over the last piece of the distributor conveyor.

Some of our customers heat the woods before surface treatment in a continuous operation.
